As you may have guessed, I'm Navera! I am 23 years old, studying a STEM field which I adore, and simultaneously am passionate about the humanities. My greatest passion has and will always be learning; I remain convinced everything is worthy of study.

Some of my fondest memories are of 2015-era Tumblr. The world grows increasingly cynical by the year, and so this is my attempt to create something earnest. In the spirit of Voltaire, I must cultivate my garden, and so here it is.

Specific interests I focus on cultivating include:

• film: history and analysis; you can read about my favorites as well as specific movements I am interested in on the film page here.
• literature: history mainly; one day I hope to be capable of analyzing why I love my favorite works, which you can read about here.
• history: my unrealistic goal is to learn everything in human history chronologically; so far, I have reached Ancient Mesopotamia.
• linguistics: I consider my first language English. Other languages I know to various extents: Urdu-Hindi (conversationally native yet mostly illiterate), Japanese (upper-intermediate), French (about A2?)

I love sharing my interests, but I am not entirely certain how best to go about this. Maybe one day I might start a little channel or page where I post about whatever fascinates me.

I reside in a deeply conservative, religious country which I hope to leave one day.
